New pasta dishes, including Spaghetti and Meatballs, have been added to the menu at Pi Artisan Pizzeria at The Outlets of Maui.

LAHAINA – Pi Artisan Pizzeria is ready to debut its new 2015 menu with the addition of some international specialty “Pi’s,” including one from Mexico and another from Thailand.

Due to popular requests from guests, the restaurant is introducing pastas to the menu, with fan favorites such as an Adult Mac and Cheese with a lustful combination of Gemelli Pasta, pepper bacon, roasted garlic, gorgonzola, goat and cheddar cheeses, breadcrumbs and truffle oil. The restaurant will also have a Penne Sausage Bake and traditional Spaghetti and Meatballs.

The Lahaina Town eatery also offers handcrafted paninis, salads and desserts using fresh, local produce and ingredients in a fast, casual and fun environment.

Pi Artisan Pizzeria is located at 900 Front St. on the ocean side of The Outlets of Maui.

The heart of the restaurant is its 8,000-pound kiawe wood-burning oven fired at 800 degrees to produce a crispy, rustic pizza in five minutes.

Unlike the standard round or rectangular-shaped ovens, Pi Artisan Pizzeria’s oval-shaped pizza oven has dual openings, allowing two persons to use it at the same time.

To introduce its new menu to the local community, Pi announced “Kama’aina May” – every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout the month, buy one entre and get the second entre for 50 percent off.

The full-service bar offers handcrafted cocktails, including such crazy concoctions as the Blue Lavender Fizz, Kaffir Ginger Sour and the house specialty Roseberry Thyme, local brews and wines on tap. Come down for Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday late night from 9 p.m. to midnight.

The eating area accommodates seating for 40 persons, there are 80 seats on the outdoor oceanfront patio, and the cool indoor bar area seats 12.

Pi Artisan Pizzeria is open daily at 11 a.m. It will close at 10 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

In related news, in addition to Mother’s Day sales by its retailers, The Outlets of Maui will host Mother’s Day activities.

Mother’s Day card-making, lei-making and photo opportunities will be offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 8-10, from noon to 2 p.m. by the Michael Kors store.

The Outlets of Maui hosts keiki hula shows every second and fourth Friday of the month from 5 to 5:45 p.m. This month’s performance dates are May 8 and 22.
