Registration underway for Westside Youth Summer Theatre Camp
LAHAINA – Summer is almost here, and registration has begun for Theatre Theatre Maui’s 2015 Westside Youth Summer Theatre Camp.
Camp is open to students entering the fourth grade in the 2015-16 school year and up to the age of 18.
The first five weeks of camp will be held this year at Sacred Hearts School from June 8 to July 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays.
The final week will be held July 13-19, with performances on July 17-19.
This year, the campers will spend the summer preparing for and performing in the production of “Annie Jr.!”
Set in the 1930s, the play has plenty of fantastic roles for both boys and girls, including Daddy Warbucks, Annie, Rooster Hannigan, Mr. Bundles, President Roosevelt, Grace Farrell, Miss Hannigan, orphans and Hooverville residents, maids and butlers.
This summer, campers will be led by talented Program Director Kristi Scott and her creative team of Derek Nakagawa, Vania Jerome and Heidi Turner.
The team has wonderful plans for the summer program again this year, and they can’t wait to dive in!
Join them for a summer of acting, singing and dancing instruction along with theatre games focusing on team building, memorization, confidence, acting, stage movement and more. Campers will also learn how to make their own props and construct prop pieces.
There is a $375 early bird rate for check and cash payments made before May 15. The rate after May 15 is $390.
For families enrolling two siblings in the summer program, a $50 discount will be applied to the second child. Financial aid may be available to qualifying families; contact TTM for information.
