KAANAPALI – Kung Hee Fat Choy! Come and celebrate the Year of the Goat with Kaanapali Beach Hotel’s Chinese New Year Celebration Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 22.

A 24-year tradition, the hotel will have fireworks and lion dance performances by Au’s Shaolin Arts Society at 9 and 11 a.m. This year’s brunch will also feature live Hawaiian music.

The holiday feast will feature a sumptuous buffet with over 50 Asian delicacies and traditional favorites, including crispy won tons, pot stickers, steamed mini manapua, shrimp egg fu young, seared salmon with black bean sauce and vegetables, star anise-braised short ribs, lemon chicken, and Manila clams in a spicy tomato broth.

There will be an iced seafood bar with cold crab legs and assorted poke, and chefs will be carving slow-roasted prime rib and Chinese roasted duck.

Specialty desserts finish this celebration brunch.

Brunch will be served from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $44.95 for adults and $22 for children 12 and younger. Children five and younger eat free with each paid adult.
