On Christmas Eve and Day, Kimo West will feature songs from his instrumental Christmas CDs.

NAPILI – Celebrate the holidays at George Kahumoku Jr.’s Grammy Award-winning.

Slack Key Show-Masters of Hawaiian Music, with special guests during the holiday season every Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Napili Kai Beach Resort’s Pavilion in West Maui.

These popular weekly shows include Kahumoku with his regulars: Da Ukulele Boyz (Peter deAquino and Garrett Probst), Sterling Seaton, and dancer Wainani Kealoha performing beautiful hula.

On Christmas Eve and Day, the featured guest artist is Kimo West, who will be featuring songs from his two beautiful instrumental Christmas CDs, which will be available at the show.

A master slack key guitarist who is skilled in multiple genres, West became famous as the guitarist for satirist Weird Al Yankovic. He fell in love with the sweet sounds of slack key on a 1985 visit to Hana and developed his own style over the years.

George Kahumoku Jr. has a new “Seeds of Aloha” DVD.

In 2009 and 2012, West was nominated for the coveted Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Best Slack Key Guitar Album. Come and enjoy his awesome slack key stylings and celebrate Christmas with West and the Slack Key Show ‘ohana.

For New Year’s Eve and Day, Da Ukulele Boyz will host Kahumoku for a change, allowing him to feature songs from his new “Seeds of Aloha” DVD and soundtrack CD.

The show’s talented solo guitarist, Seaton, will also perform, as will Kealoha with her beautiful hula.
