Celebrate the holiday season at Lahaina’s Second Friday Town Party

Maui Taiko will perform in Campbell Park during Lahaina’s December town party.

LAHAINA – This month’s Second Friday Town Party will celebrate “Christmas in Lahaina.” In celebration of the holiday season, Lahaina will host this month’s event in two locations: Campbell Park and the 700 block of Front Street.

The block closure area will feature live entertainment from 6 to 9 p.m. with local choirs, keiki hula and more.

This area will also host the voting table for the first annual Festive Storefront Contest, in which the public will cast their vote for “The People’s Choice Award” sponsored by Hawaii Ocean Project.

LahainaTown Action Committee judges will choose the winning storefront. The top prize is a Pupu Staff Party for 20 sponsored by Captain Jack’s Island Grill.

Campbell Park will have live entertainment by Maui Jam and Maui Taiko drummers. Activities for the whole family will include face painting, balloon animals and Santa’s North Pole “photo op” sponsored by AAAAA Rent-A-Space.

Buy your Christmas presents at LahainaTown Action Committee’s Silent Auction tables in the non-profit’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

As the sun sets and “pau hana” begins, what better way to start the weekend than to shop Lahaina’s world-renowned art galleries, meet artists, talk story and share in some complimentary pupus and wine from 6 to 9 p.m. Pick up your free Art Map compliments of the Lahaina Visitor Center at the Old Lahaina Courthouse in Banyan Tree Park.

Lahaina Restoration Foundation’s popular candlelit tour of the Baldwin Home Museum will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The museum is located on the corner of Front and Dickenson streets. The $7 fee includes admission to the Wo Hing Museum at 858 Front St. Children 12 and under accompanied by a paying adult are free.
