Silent auction to support children’s art programs

Artwork from some of Maui’s most celebrated artists, gift certificates to local restaurants and Maui activities, and much more will be up for bid in the silent auction on Nov. 1-2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Banyan Tree Park.

LAHAINA – Lahaina Arts Association will host a silent auction on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 1-2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Join LAA at Banyan Tree Park next to the Old Lahaina Courthouse to bid on artwork from some of Maui’s most celebrated artists as well as community donations, gift certificates to local restaurants, Maui activities and much more.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Maui Youth Art Outreach Program that provides free art classes to children right here in Maui County.

In addition to the auction, there will be a fine art fair hosted by LAA’s founder, Lahaina Arts Society, and live musical entertainment throughout the day.

Lahaina Arts Association is a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to providing Maui County youth access to the creative arts through education and artistic opportunities.

LAA offers free art classes to children in schools, youth centers and housing sites on Maui and Molokai through the Maui Youth Art Outreach Program. LAA also provides a Hawaiian Youth Mentoring Program and awards partial tuition-assistance scholarships to graduating Maui County art students.

LAA inspires creative thinking and artistic expression by creating opportunities for art education and appreciation through the support of grants, individual donations and support from its founder, Lahaina Arts Society.
