Maui Comedy Festival in Lahaina features huge lineup

LAHAINA – Famous and up-and-coming comedians are coming to Lahaina this week to perform in the Maui Comedy Festival.

On Thursday, Oct. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Hard Rock Cafe at The Outlets of Maui, the lineup includes Reggie Watts, Kurt Braunohler, Eddie Pepitone, Nate Bargatze, Sean O’Connor and Ahmed Bharoocha. From 8:30 to 10 p.m., comics Ron Funches, Kyle Kinane, Ari Shaffir, Kate Berlant, James Adomian and Mark Normand will perform. Then from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., laugh with the comedy of Tig Notaro, Kurt Braunohler, Morgan Murphy, Chris Porter, Michelle Buteau and Sheng Wang.

“The Smartest Man in the World” live podcast with Greg Proops is set for Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Longhi’s, followed by comedy with Todd Glass, Beth Stelling, Byron Bowers, Carmen Lynch, Kevin Shea and Mike Lawrence from 9:30 to 11:05 p.m.

On Saturday, Nov. 1, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Hard Rock Cafe, the “Girl on Guy” podcast live with Aisha Tyler is slated.

“The Old Lahaina Prison Comedy Breakout” featuring Jonah Ray, Chino LaForge, James Mane and Kevin Shea is set for Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the historic Old Lahaina Prison. A second lineup with Shea, LaForge, Mane and Ron Josol will be held from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m.

On Saturday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Maui Theater in Old Lahaina Center, “Aloha Ladies” will feature Aisha Tyler, Aparna Nancherla, Carmen Lynch, Morgan Murphy, Beth Stelling and Michelle Buteau.

At Pi Artisan Pizzeria at The Outlets of Maui on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 p.m., the lineup will feature Eddie Pepitone, Kate Berlant, Byron Bowers, Mark Normand, Sheng Wang, Ahmed Bharoocha and Sean O’Connor. Then from 11:55 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., enjoy “This is Not Happening Live” hosted by Ari Shaffir.

At the Hard Rock Cafe Maui on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 p.m., the lineup features Kyle Kinane and Nate Bargatze with Todd Glass, Chris Porter, Andy Woodhull and Kurt Braunholer. From 11:55 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., comedians Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro and James Adomian will perform.

At the Hard Rock Cafe on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., “Shut Up, You Might Learn Something” will feature Greg Proops, Ahmed Bharoocha, Aparna Nancerla and Kate Berlant.

On Sunday, Nov. 2, from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. at Lahaina Yacht Club, “Kinda Old Men and the Sea” will feature Kyle Kinane, James Adomian, Eddie Pepitone, Todd Glass and Mike Lawrence.

At the Maui Theater from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, “Aloha Ladies” will feature Tig Notaro, Aparna Nancherla, Carmen Lynch, Morgan Murphy, Beth Stelling and Michelle Buteau.

The festival will conclude with “Stand-up Without a Net” from 9 to 10:30 p.m. at the Hard Rock Cafe.
