Experience the finest culinary trends at the Kapalua Wine & Food Festival

The Grand Tasting-Kapalua Style at The Montage Kapalua Bay will feature the world-class cuisine of the Kapalua Resort family of restaurants.
KAPALUA – Prepare for a magical weekend at the 33rd Kapalua Wine & Food Festival presented by Visa Signature, which will take place June 12-15, 2014.
This annual “migration” of oenophiles, gourmands and enthusiasts of the good life reunite on the shores of Kapalua Resort to celebrate, learn and experience the finest culinary trends and viniculture.
Highlights of the weekend include interactive wine tasting seminars from the celebrated wine regions of Russian River Valley, Santa Lucia Highlands and the Pacific Northwest. International wines will also be well represented, and savored, from Italy and New Zealand.
Celebrity Chefs Dean Fearing and Andrew Sutton are sure to wow guests with culinary samplings, Many more unique and memorable tastings and experiences are slated throughout the rest of the weekend.
Host and Master Sommelier Michael Jordan commented, “This festival has a great vibe and is becoming the favorite for winemakers to attend and showcase their premium vintages and share their stories. At the Seafood Festival at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, 14 of Maui’s top restaurants will showcase a seafood specialty and another creation in competition for Maui No Ka 'Oi Magazine’s “Best of the Fest” award.

On Thursday, June 12, a Welcome Reception hosted by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser/HI Luxury Magazine will be held at Merriman’s from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The event is open to four-day pass holders.
The lineup for Friday, June 13, includes the Festival Golf Tournament at The Bay Course in Kapalua at 7 a.m.; New Zealand Wine Seminar at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua from 1 to 2:30 p.m.; Santa Lucia Highlands Wine Seminar & Tasting at The Ritz-Carlton from 3 to 4:30 p.m.; and The Grand Tasting-Kapalua Style hosted by Modern Luxury Hawaii Magazine at The Montage Kapalua Bay from 6 to 9 p.m.
On Saturday, June 14, the festival’s schedule includes a Pacific/Northwest AVAs Wine Seminar at The Ritz-Carlton from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Cooking Demonstration with Celebrity Chef Andrew Sutton at The Ritz-Carlton from 1 to 3 p.m.; Brotherhood of Eternal Pinot Noir – Russian River Valley Stars Wine Seminar at The Ritz-Carlton from 3:30 to 5 p.m.; and Winemakers Dinners resort-wide.
Events on Sunday, June 15, include “The Italians are Coming!” Wine Seminar & Tasting at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Cooking Demonstration with Celebrity Chef Dean Fearing at The Ritz-Carlton from 1 to 3 p.m.; Bacchus Loves the Hillsides Tasting & Seminar at The Ritz-Carlton from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.; Wine Tour around Kapalua Resort from 1 to 3 p.m.; and the Seafood Festival at The Ritz-Carlton’s Beach House Lawn from 6 to 9 p.m.
