West Maui students to stage ‘Bugsy Malone Jr.’

By Staff | May 8, 2014

“Bugsy Malone Jr.” is a fast-paced classic — with a tongue-in-cheek style — hailing back to noir films of the 1920s.

LAHAINA – Registration is ongoing for Theatre Theatre Maui’s 2014 Westside Youth Summer Theatre Camp, which concludes with live performances of “Bugsy Malone Jr.” and will be led by returning Summer Program Director Kristi Scott and a creative team of instructors, including Vania Jerome, Heidi Turner and Derek Nakagawa.

“Bugsy Malone Jr.” is a fast-paced classic (with a tongue-in-cheek style) hailing back to the noir films of the 1920s.

Based on the original film, the production is filled with swinging song and dance. Join TTM for the madcap mayhem this summer!

Sponsored in part by the County of Maui and the community, camp runs from June 9 through July 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lahaina Intermediate School.

Performances will be held at Lahaina Intermediate on July 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. and July 20 at 2 p.m.
