Merv Oana to perform at Hawaiian Music Series

Merv Oana was a founding member of the Iao Stream Band and has performed with Today’s Special, Maui Power Station, ‘Oana Groove and Kilohana.
LAHAINA – The popular Hawaiian Music Series’ free monthly concert continues on Thursday, March 27, with longtime Maui entertainer Merv Oana. Join him on the lawn in front of the Baldwin Home Museum (corner of Dickenson and Front streets) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a relaxing evening as the sun sets and turns into a brilliant starry night sky.
Oana is a guitarist and songwriter who recently released his third CD. Embracing the different styles of music that have come across his life here in the islands, Oana writes of love, passion and romantic island life in a soulful, contemporary Hawaiian music style.
His first release, “Everyday Island Life,” made a debut in 1997 and started Oana on a path of making people smile while creating heartfelt memories.
Chairs are limited, so blankets, mats, and low beach chairs are welcome.
This concert is part of Lahaina Restoration Foundation’s ongoing Hawaiian Music Series program supported by the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the county Office of Economic Development.
