LAHAINA – West Maui restaurants took top honors during the fifth annual Lahaina Plantation Days held on Oct. 18-19.

The Plantation House Restaurant captured this year’s “Best in Show Award” along with a $1,000 check.

Buzz’s Wharf and CJ’s Cafe were named recipients of the “Judge’s Award.”

Other food booth winners were Penne Pasta Caf for “Best Salad,” Napili Kai Beach Resort’s Sea House Restaurant for “Best Appetizer,” Kaanapali Beach Hotel’s Tiki Terrace for “Best Meat,” Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar for “Best Seafood,” and Roselani Ice Cream for “Best Dessert.”

While local restaurants and food purveyors scored high marks, arguably the real winners of Lahaina Restoration Foundation’s annual event were the over 6,000 residents and visitors who enjoyed two memorable days of entertainment, food, exhibits and more, all celebrating West Maui’s plantation roots.
