In “Home Run,” a professional baseball player with a substance abuse problem is ordered to enter rehab in his home town. He finds hope when he gets real about his troubled past, and becomes coach for a Little League team of misfits.

LAHAINA – Beach Ministry Community Church will show the inspirational movie “Home Run” at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 14-15 inside their building at West Maui Center, 910-A Honoapiilani Highway.

The movie will also be shown outdoors at the same location at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 16-17. Admission is free for all showings.

Beach Ministry Community Church is starting a new Celebrate Recovery 12-step program on Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m.

“Is life overwhelming you? ‘Wounds’ sound like your reality? ‘Health’ seems pretty elusive? Are you feeling that there MUST be more to life than you’re experiencing?
