By Staff | Apr 25, 2013

KAANAPALI – The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa has partnered with Maui Brewing Company, Southern Wine and Spirits, and General Cigar to kick off its inaugural “Maui Craft Session” event on May 10.

Maui Craft Session will be a celebration of the craft industries of beer, whisky and cigars. This inaugural event will take place on the Sheraton Maui’s Ocean Lawn with legendary Pu’u Keka’a as the backdrop.

The evening will highlight industries rooted in small batch production with handmade products sourced from the finest ingredients, utilizing time-honored methods.

Thoughtful pairings created through the collaboration of industry leaders, aficionados and fans will be offered, elevating and complimenting each craft.

“The timing of this event serves as Maui’s kickoff to American Craft Beer Week, which culminates at Maui Brewer’s Festival,” said Brandon Maeda, director of Food & Beverage at the Sheraton Maui.

“This synergistic partnership unites our industry’s bests in their respective crafts encompassing ‘crate, cask and barrel.’ As the inaugural showcase event, we invite those who share our passion for the craft industry to come join us in this evening of celebration and inspiration.”
