“4 the Luv of Arts & Music” will feature a silent auction with artwork and items donated by businesses.

LAHAINA – The fourth annual Gianna Mitchell “4 the Luv of Arts & Music” will celebrate the life of the beloved Maui artist and raise funds to support children’s art programs.

Founders Allison Royce and David R. Johnson, along with many friends of Gianna, annually come together to celebrate the positive life Gianna lived on Maui as an artist and surfer.

The Maui community is invited to join them on Saturday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. (ages 21 and up after 10 p.m.) upstairs at Longhi’s Lahaina, 888 Front St.

The evening’s music lineup includes Marty Dread, Sounds of Addiction, Sonny B, Max Angel, Melepono and Junior Sequeira. Kama’aina and visitors are welcome to come celebrate the event.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth; keiki ten and under will be admitted free.

Evening festivities will include face and body painting, interactive music, art, dance activities and a silent auction featuring the artwork of Gianna and other Maui artists, as well as business donations.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Lahaina Arts Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides no-cost art classes and keiki art programs across Maui Nui.

The last three years, over $10,000 has been raised to support local art and music programs for children.

Funds raised at this year’s event will support the Lahaina Arts Association’s Scholarship Awards Program, which provides local high school art students with partial tuition assistance scholarships for college.
