Celebrate Earth Day at Lahaina Cannery Mall
LAHAINA – Lahaina Cannery Mall will host organizations that reduce, reuse and recycle in a free event promoting Earth Day on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It will also be a day of promoting green initiatives to help in sustaining the health of our Earth – its soils, ecosystems and people.
There will be educational displays and sales of Native Hawaiian plants, succulents and organic vegetable starter plants.
Community recycling stations will be set up in the parking lot for E-cycling, scrap metal, green waste, household goods, cardboard, newspaper, batteries, paint, books and lots more.
Also scheduled are the regular free hula performances on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m.
“I Love Lahaina,” a benefit for West Maui schools, is set for Friday, May 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Lahaina Cannery Mall will host this event to bring the community together to show support for the schools of West Maui.
