Choirs to present annual ‘Christmas In Lahaina’ concert

By Staff | Dec 13, 2012

LAHAINA – In a tradition that began several years ago, the combined choirs of Maria Lanakila and Sacred Hearts Mission churches will present their annual “Christmas In Lahaina” concert.

The concert is free to all, but “good will offerings” will be gladly accepted.

These joyous sounds of Christmas will take place at Maria Lanakila Church on the corner of Dickenson and Wainee streets on Friday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m.

Immerse yourself in the true spirit of Christmas and witness the surprise ending to this eclectic gathering of melodic voices.

Come enjoy the ethnic Christmas carols of the Filipino and Hispanic choirs, the melodious sounds of the Hawaiian Choir and the 7 a.m. Mass Choir, the angelic singing of the children of the Sacred Hearts School Honors Choir and Maria Lanakila’s Youth Choir, not to be outdone by the perennial favorite of the Tongan Choir singing Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.”

There will be refreshments, and a surprise ending after the concert.
