NAPILI – George Kahumoku Jr.’s Grammy Award-winning Slack Key Show-Masters of Hawaiian Music will celebrate its ninth anniversary with a special expanded show on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Napili Kai Beach Resort’s Pavilion.
This milestone event will feature a special performance by Martin Pahinui. One of Hawaiian music’s most gifted vocalists, Pahinui has performed with many top artists, including his legendary father Gabby Pahinui’s Hawaiian Band, The Peter Moon Band and the slack key super group Hui Aloha.

The show will also feature Richard Ho’opi’i from Kahakuloa Valley, a high-energy falsetto and ukulele master; Kevin Brown, a Maui-born Hawaiian who carries on his family’s beautiful style of slack key and vocals; Derick Sebastian, a ukulele virtuoso; and Wainani Kealoha performing beautiful hula.
The artists’ CDs and DVDs will be available for purchase at the show.
Enjoy anniversary cake and refreshments while you experience this Hawaiian music show and celebrate nine years of weekly performances, four Grammy Awards for compilation CDs (all recorded live at the show), two additional Grammy nominations and a Hawaii Music Award, plus monthly shows at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
