‘Blue Hawaiian Moonlight’ to benefit Bailey House Museum

WAILUKU – Bask in Hawaiian moonlight at a romantic evening concert on the beautiful grounds of Bailey House Museum.

“Blue Hawaiian Moonlight” on Friday, Aug. 31, will feature slack key master George Kahumoku Jr. and students from the Institute of Hawaiian Music at the University of Hawaii Maui College.

The gate will open at 6:30 p.m. with lei, food and beverages, including wine and beer, available for purchase.

Come dressed from the 1940s through ’60s for a retro Aloha Wear contest. Bring the whole ohana and blankets or low beach chairs to sit on. No outside food, coolers or pets will be permitted.

Tickets are $35 general admission, $25 for Maui Historical Society members and $15 for students ages 12-18. Children under 12 are free. All proceeds will benefit the Maui Historical Society.

Founded in 1951, Maui Historical Society is the oldest historical and preservation society on Maui. Its mission is to collect, preserve, study, interpret and share the history and heritage of Maui.
