Food booths sought for Lahaina Plantation Days
LAHAINA – Applications are now being accepted for restaurant food booths at the upcoming fourth annual Lahaina Plantation Days on Oct. 19-20 from 5 to 10 p.m.
Located at the Pioneer Mill Smokestack, this popular community celebration has attracted over 15,000 residents and visitors over the past three years, providing an excellent advertising and tasting opportunity to local and visitor markets.
Each restaurant is provided with a ten-foot by ten-foot wooden booth, two tables, electricity, lighting and non-potable water.
All sales are with scrip; the event retains 50 percent of all scrip sold. There are no other fees.
Booths are limited, and restaurants have the option of participating one or two days. A high-profile food contest will also be held.
In addition to delicious food, Lahaina’s plantation history will be celebrated through historical displays, a featured Portuguese heritage area, keiki carnival games, pony rides, petting zoo, beer and wine garden and great entertainment.
Back by popular demand are hosts “Da Braddahs” along with headliners The Brothers Cazimero and Nuff Sed, Na Hoa, Maui Taiko Drummers and more.
The deadline for restaurant food booth applications is Aug. 15.
