Dining columnist retiring from role at Lahaina News
LAHAINA – For the past 16 years, I have enjoyed being the Lahaina News’ dining columnist, interviewing more than 222 of Maui’s finest chefs and dining on their splendid cuisine.
I want to thank my fellow “foodies” for their interest and comments, and my husband, Robert (“Papa”), for his patience in being my photographer.
Since publishing my first book, “Treasures of the Thirties,” I will now devote my time to write “Ten Years Behind the Mast,” recalling the adventurous decade of the 1970s as chef and first mate aboard our charter yacht in the Caribbean.
The Lahaina News is an outstanding publication. It has been a pleasure and honor being their dining columnist.
