County to use different video conferencing tools for public meetings
WAILUKU — Starting this month, the County of Maui is using interactive video conferencing tools Webex or Teams for public meetings and county business.
The change is being made because BlueJeans, which had been used by the county, is being retired by its provider, Verizon.
Webex (by Cisco) or Teams (by Microsoft) will be used depending on the meeting type and requirements.
Details for public meetings will continue to be published and will contain the information and instructions needed to participate via video conference.
As the transition is being conducted in phases, the public may see meetings scheduled with BlueJeans or the new solutions through the first quarter of 2024.
