Clarita Ramos Callos Obituary

Online Condolences for Clarita Ramos Callos may be posted at www.NormansMortuary.com.
Our precious wife, mother, and grandmother, Clarita Ramos Callos, passed away on Friday, November 10th, 2023. Born June 7th, 1956, in Banna, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Clarita was the eldest of 8 children. In 1978, she and her brother moved to Maui and spent many years working at Sea Breeze on Front Street and later worked as a hostess and barista at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa where she retired.
In her retirement, Clarita had kept herself busy with many of her favorite hobbies and took pride in all that she created. She was most passionate about cooking and baking for her family. Food was her love language. If she knew she was going to see you, she would often prepare the foods that she knew you would enjoy. She especially loved making cookies for her grandkids. Many people will miss her creative money leis during graduations and special occasions. She also enjoyed her time gardening and taking care of her flowers.
Her energy, smile and infectious laugh are just some of her qualities that many of us will miss. Her distinct laugh is a sound that only her family and close friends are able to distinguish. In fact, her laugh can be heard amongst and over a crowd of laughter. Her love extended to more than just her family and was like a second mother to many that knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Basilio and Lourdes Ramos. She is survived by husband Loreto Callos Jr.; her children, Desiree (Cesar) Corpuz Jr., Jeanette, and Clayton (Ashley); four grandchildren, Sadie, Bryson, Laney and Camryn; siblings Rogelio (Arcelie) Ramos, Josie (predeceased), Cipriano (predeceased), Benjamin (predeceased), Elli (Sergio Jr.) Pascua, Annie (Eduard) Abut, and Annabel (Richard Jr.) Arase.
Her family would like to extend their greatest gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and staff in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit at Maui Memorial Medical Center that showed much compassion and great care to her and her family.
Viewing will take place on Friday, November 17th, 2023 at Norman’s Mortuary from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Celebration of Life to follow on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 at 10 a.m. and burial at the Garden of Meditation at 2 p.m.
