Akaku to hold ‘Community Connection Day’ on Nov. 17

KAHULUI — Akaku Maui Community Media will host “Community Connection Day” on Nov. 17, 2023. This day-long celebration will take place at 333 Dairy Road in Kahului from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., bringing together the Maui community and nonprofit organizations for a memorable and meaningful experience.

Key highlights of “Community Connection Day” include:

– Non-Profit Booths: Ten free booths will be available for non-profit organizations to showcase their missions and connect with the community.

– Akaku’s Role: Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Akaku Maui Community Media’s role in empowering voices and connecting the community through public access media.

– National Young Readers Week: A special section of the event will be dedicated to raising awareness for literacy, aligning with National Young Readers Week.

– Live Entertainment: Enjoy live music, captivating performances and activities for the entire family, creating a lively atmosphere of community spirit and connection.

“Community Connection Day” is an opportunity for non-profit organizations to share their missions, for community members to learn about the invaluable work of Akaku Maui Community Media, and for families to enjoy quality time together.
