Volunteers sought for service project in Haleakalā National Park
KULA — The public is invited to join the Friends of Haleakalā National Park for their monthly morning of service on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the park’s plant nursery or museum in the Summit District of Haleakalā National Park from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will help with preparation and propagation of native plants.
Participants should bring water, snacks and their own gloves if desired. The park will provide other tools. Wear sturdy shoes, and in case of out planting work, bring a hat and sunscreen.
This activity is held on the first Tuesday of each month. Volunteers can drive up to the work location at the greenhouse/maintenance area.
