Immediate grants available from Maui United Way for disaster relief in Maui County

“We’re looking to provide that immediate safety net for boots on the ground,” said Maui United Way President Nicholas Winfrey. “It is crucial that we back these amazing organizations that are at the forefront, providing immediate and necessary relief to our communities.”
Maui United Way is stepping up to provide immediate support for local non-profits offering disaster relief in the wake of recent events impacting Maui County.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Maui United Way is offering grants of up to $10,000 each, aimed at bolstering the vital efforts of these organizations.
Funds will be distributed in the coming days via electronic fund transfer (EFT) to non-profits that meet the necessary qualifications.
Evaluations of applications will be ongoing, ensuring rapid distribution of aid to the organizations in need. Non-profits can apply for the grant at mauiunitedway.org/relieffunding.
Furthermore, as the crisis unfolds and needs are continually assessed, Maui United Way is committed to adjusting its support measures. In the near future, grants will also be opened to directly assist households most affected by the disaster.
