By Staff | May 12, 2023

The events will celebrate the life and legacy of the late Maui Fireman Tre’ʻ Evans-Dumaran.

The Live Like Tre’ Foundation announces upcoming Live Like Tre’ Day events to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Tre’ Evans-Dumaran.

The foundation was established to continue Evans-Dumaran’s work of spreading kindness and happiness, and Live Like Tre’ Day is an opportunity for everyone to join in this mission.

The Live Like Tre’ Foundation invites everyone to be part of his future legacy by participating in the events at the following locations and times: Maui — May 14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Hannibal Tavares Community Center; Big Island — June 10, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., University of Hawaii at Hilo Gym; and Molokai — July 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mitchell Pauole Center.

All events will be filled with fun family activities, music, food and much more. Participants can share their words or thoughts with Tre’ at his slide show corner and explore the fire truck, among other exciting activities.

Funds raised through the Live Like Tre’ Day events will support community members through funding small acts of kindness projects. Additionally, the Live Like Tre’ Foundation will offer scholarship opportunities with a focus on student-athletes in single-parent households, students who have the desire to become a pilot, and students born to teen parents.

Funding will also be available for training and uniforms for new and upcoming firefighters.

Through Live Like Tre’ Day, the foundation hopes to inspire others to amplify small acts of kindness, give with heart, live with passion, dream the possibilities, support ‘ohana and create a big impact, just as Tre’ did.

The foundation hopes that Live Like Tre’ Day will encourage people to continue his legacy of kindness and generosity.

“We invite the community to celebrate the life and legacy of Tre’ Evans-Dumaran through Live Like Tre’ Day and support our community through these initiatives,” said his mother, Chelsie Evans.

“Tre’ was a kind and generous soul who touched many lives, and we hope that Live Like Tre’ Day will inspire others to follow his steps and continue his legacy.”
