WMTA to host General Election Candidates Night
LAHAINA — The West Maui Taxpayers Association will hold a General Election Candidates Night on Thursday, Oct. 13, at Lahaina Civic Center.
WMTA President Joseph Pluta noted, “We are looking forward to actively engaging with those who seek to be elected to represent us at our Candidates Night, appearing on the General Election Ballots. The Primary Candidates Night was a success, and we know this next one will be, too.”
A Meet & Greet with participating candidates starts at 3:30 p.m. with tables outside Lahaina Civic Center’s Social Hall. At 4:30 p.m., a complimentary food and beverage service begins for all (with optional donations gratefully accepted), followed by the program at 5 p.m.
WMTA plans to partner with Akaku: Maui Community Media to broadcast the event at 5:30 p.m.
Pluta explained, “We believe that knowing whom you are voting for and why is essential to making right choices for our future. Voting is a privilege, and our right to vote is precious. West Maui candidates for office will be charged with making decisions which are urgently needed to respond to the unprecedented challenges ahead that will be beneficial to all concerned.”
WMTA invites the community to attend this informative event. Visit www.WestMaui.org or call (808) 661-7990 for more information.
