Teen Financial Literacy Workshop set during Fall Break
WAILUKU — Maui Economic Opportunity’s popular Teen Financial Literacy Workshop will be held in-person during Fall Break on Oct. 3 and 5 at MEO at 99 Mahalani St. in Wailuku.
The two-session program offered through MEO’s Business Development Center covers budgeting and savings, basic banking, applying for jobs, credit and its importance, and more. The overarching goal of the workshop is to provide youths with the skills, tools and knowledge to make sound financial decisions and a foundation to help them achieve their life goals.
The workshop is free and is geared for students from intermediate to high school. The sessions run from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 3 and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 5.

MEO’s Business Development Center is partnering on the workshop with Hawaii State Federal Credit Union. The instructors are Lianne Peros-Busch with BDC and Jaimie Dukelow with Hawaii State Federal Credit Union.
The Maui County Office of Economic Development is providing funding for the workshop.
