LAHAINA — Starbucks, with two locations in West Maui, recently presented the Strengthening Our Community Award to Lahaina Restoration Foundation.
This award, which was accompanied by a $3,000 check, is given to non-profit organizations that impact the community on a local level.
“We are extremely honored to receive this award,” stated Theo Morrison, executive director of Lahaina Restoration Foundation. “Our programs, workshops, events and activities engage all sectors of the Maui community. Lahaina’s fascinating history has something to teach everyone, from the keiki who attend our summer camps to the visitors and residents who participate in Hands on History.”
Lahaina Restoration Foundation manages and maintains 13 historic sites in Lahaina; six are operated as museums. LRF also maintains the parks and public spaces in Lahaina.
