Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset to host ‘Celebrations Meeting’

LAHAINA — On Tuesday, June 21, the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset will host a special “Celebrations Meeting” at the Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant at the Royal Lahaina Resort.
Social and check-in begins at 5 p.m., and the meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
This fifth annual occasion features the club’s achievements and recognitions of special events and people.
Three graduating high school seniors were recipients of the club’s scholarship awards, and a video of each student’s college plans will be shown.
The annual Vocational Service Awards will be presented to an individual and nonprofit agency that provided outstanding service to the community and/or club.
The club is also sponsoring three students from Hana High School who will be attending schools abroad as part of the Rotary Youth Exchange program. The three students will be present to share about their upcoming educational experience.
A slide deck presentation will illustrate activities and projects that led to the recognition of being named the Large Club of the Year by the Rotary Clubs of Hawaii, District 5,000.
Attending this meeting will be District Gov. Sandy Matsui to help share in the club’s successes.
The public is invited to attend this “Celebrations Meeting.”
