2022 Lahaina Poster Contest deadline and increased awards announced

LAHAINA — Entry forms for the 34th Lahaina Poster Contest are now available online at www.lahainarestorationfoundation.org/2022-poster-contest.

Deadline and drop off of entries is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Village Gallery at 120 Dickenson St. in Lahaina.

The Lahaina Poster Contest Exhibit will be held Friday, Nov. 12, through Friday, Dec. 3, at Village Gallery.

The poster contest winner will be announced at the opening reception of the exhibit on Friday, Nov. 12.

The artist creating the winning poster image will receive a $3,000 prize. Lahaina Arts Society will select an additional entry to receive a $400 award.

Renowned local artist George Allen will serve as juror.

The criteria states that the poster contest entry must be a recognizable scene of Lahaina.

The Lahaina Poster, chosen annually, is the official poster for the town of Lahaina.

Proceeds from poster sales are used to promote historic Lahaina Town.

The poster contest and exhibit will be hosted by Village Galleries, Lahaina Arts Society and Lahaina Restoration Foundation.
