By Staff | Aug 13, 2021

Since her early twenties, Kelly Robinson has worked with Hawaiian Entertainment as a cultural activities specialist and hula dancer.

WEST MAUI — Kelly Robinson, a local girl born and raised on Maui, has moved her efforts to real estate. The Kamehameha Schools graduate has served Hawaii in many different industries and has consistently kept the spirit of Hawaiian culture in her work, continuously focusing her background and her ever-growing understanding of the diverse culture in Hawaii with best business practices.

Robinson’s mother, Blue, moved to Maui from Canada in the 1970s and worked as a singer at the Pioneer Inn.

Kelly also worked in the hotel and entertainment industry, working in hotels and restaurants out of high school and through college, and then going into hotel management.

“Service industry jobs teach a lot! Multi-tasking, customer service, anticipating guest needs and the ability to be ‘on it,’ “ she explained.

Since her early twenties, Robinson has worked with Henry, Sherron and Paki Allen with Hawaiian Entertainment as a cultural activities specialist and hula dancer, traveling around the South Pacific and Japan and on various cruise ships.

In 2015, she left hotels and became a client services manager at the non-profit home care agency Bayada Home Care, giving her an inside look at a whole different industry involving insurance and medical.

A woman of many talents and skills, she also currently works with Craig Hill as the onsite coordinator for Maui Pineapple Chapel.

Kelly also purchased a vacation rental condominium at Kaanapali Shores and manages it with a partner.

One of her vacation renters, a man named Farhan, offered Robinson a rave review: “Kelly was a wonderful host! Her place is in a great area and was very clean with comfortable furniture. You can see the ocean from the balcony, which made breakfast every morning very pleasant. She also left us a personalized note and snacks for our stay, which was a lovely touch. Our vacation was amazing, and Kelly’s place was a huge part of that. We can’t recommend her as a host enough!”

Her current rentals and listings can be found at kellyrobinsonmaui.com.

In 2017, Kelly’s dad passed away.

“He taught me a lot in life and was a Realtor at one point, so I learned a lot from him on my way towards getting my license,” she said.

A couple of years later, in 2019, Kelly earned her Real Estate License and began working with Moffett Properties. She also works as a transaction coordinator for other Realtors as a way to learn even more about the business.

Broker Buz Moffett, who has 30-plus years of experience, is continuing to work with Kelly, listing properties on Maui and Molokai.
