Michelle Low joins Rotary Club of Lahaina
LAHAINA — Michelle Low recently joined the Rotary Club of Lahaina. Low hails from sunny Southern California. She grew up in Arcadia before heading south to earn her Marketing Degree at San Diego State University.
Post-graduation, Low served as the digital marketing manager for seven years at VAVi, the country’s largest sport and social company. In addition to steering the company’s presence online, she managed the volunteer program, where she organized projects with Ronald McDonald House, Surfrider Foundation and multiple San Diego recreation centers.
Her next move was to iProspect, a large-scale marketing agency owned by Dentsu. She drove paid search innovation across Google and Bing for one of the largest consumer electronics companies on the planet.
This role enabled her to work remotely and realize her dream of moving to Maui.
Most recently, Low has taken on the role of associate director of media at Beekeeper Marketing, a fully-remote agency. Beekeeper delivers consumer product strategy and execution in the ever-changing e-commerce space, especially focused on Amazon and Walmart.
Since moving to Maui, she has collaborated with Goin Left and Kohola Brewery to put on Craft & Canvas, an art exhibition with work integrating sustainable materials (such as microplastics and recycled plastic) to benefit Hawaii Wildlife Fund.
She basks in opportunities to connect with good people who do good work, which is why she was drawn to the Rotary Club of Lahaina.
“The collective commitment to bettering the community is invigorating,” Low said.
“I’m so looking forward to the opportunity to build friendships with this group of people that is wired to impact meaningful change!”
Low has resided in Lahaina for just over three years and enjoys running; camping; hikes with her dog, Richard; and going to The Block. She recently took up surfing with her boyfriend.
