WEST MAUI – The West Maui Community Task Force (formerly known as the Women Helping Women West Maui Task Force) is expanding its mission not only to continue to assist WHW but to provide help, support and giving with aloha to those in need in our community.

“We are a dynamic group of volunteers who care deeply about our ohana, and together we can have an impact on the West Side,” noted Task Force President Maria Terra.

The community is asked to support and participate in the task force’s first annual Back to School “Slippahs” Drive on July 13 at Carnival at the Cannery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lahaina Cannery Mall.

The group will also be collecting slippers the month of July at 5A Rent A Space and Lahaina Yacht Club.
