Founder of Doctors On Call to speak at Rotary meeting
LAHAINA – Norm Estin will be the speaker at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset on Tuesday April 30.
The meeting will be held at the Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant at the Royal Lahaina Resort from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Dr. Estin will be speaking on nutrition, vitamin supplementation and the new Free Vitamins for Kids program that Doctors on Call is co-sponsoring with Times Pharmacy and is supported by Sen. Roz Baker.
Dr. Estin is the founder and medical director of Doctors On Call since 1987.
A former emergency physician, he is widely recognized as the pioneer of Immediate Medical Care/Urgent Care on Maui.
He is an expert in travel medicine, sports medicine and diving medicine.
He and the entire Doctors On Call staff have provided medical services to numerous local, state, national and international events, meetings, competitions and championships.
He has arranged for and provided medical care to many large corporate events throughout Maui, Hawaii, the United States and around the world.
He has been an NBC Olympic physician for 12 years (as recently as the 2012 London Olympics), the medical director/advisor for the PGA Kapalua Golf Championships and the medical director/provider for the Maui Invitational (NCAA) Basketball Tournament.
