Funds available for vocational training

LAHAINA – Financial help to pay for training in areas such as agriculture, auto mechanics, welding, cosmetology or any trade or non-academic occupation is now available through four $2,500 scholarships from the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise.

Applicants can be of any age to receive these funds, and the training can include apprenticeships, hands-on learning or a variety of non-traditional formats.

Students planning to attend vocational training in college or university are also eligible to apply.

The Rotary Club is seeking applicants who have a passion for their chosen career and need financial help to achieve their goals.

The application is available online at www.lahainasunriserotary.org or by e-mailing thefarm@hawaii.rr.com.

The application must be mailed and postmarked by May 6, 2019, or scanned and e-mailed to thefarm@hawaii.rr.com by midnight on May 6.
