LAHAINA – The second annual Chili Cook Off and Silent Auction, featuring live music by Wilmont Kahaialii and the Springman’s Family Band, will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, from noon to 3 p.m. on the Holy Innocents Episcopal Church oceanfront lawn at 561 Front St.

Ten participants will compete for three top prizes and provide tastes of their chili recipes.

The annual event also will include a silent auction with certificates for area restaurants, yoga classes, hand-crafted quilts, tickets to the Maui Arts and Cultural Center and gift baskets.

A portion of the $20 entrance fee will go to a Cup of Cold Water Ministry, a joint effort of Maui churches to support the needs of the homeless, according to Pastor Amy Crowe.
