WAILUKU – Habitat for Humanity Maui is available to help those impacted by Hurricane Lane through its “A Brush With Kindness” program, which provides assistance with repairing homes in substandard condition.

This can include repairs needed due to damage from high winds (such as roof repair), leaky or broken windows, flood damage or, if deemed necessary, a full tear-down and rebuild of a home compromised by fire or flooding.

Habitat Maui is able to assist residents earning below 80 percent of the median income of Maui County.

Habitat Maui is also requesting donations of leftover plywood that may not be needed after the hurricane threat has passed. Any donations are tax-deductible, and these materials will be made available at the ReStore to those affected by the storm.
