LAHAINA – Rose Ann Navarro, Dan Eric Recites and the Navarro-Recites Family will honor and remember Ryan Luis Navarro Recites during a memorial on Saturday, March 11, at 6 p.m.

The memorial will be held at the Navarro residence at 815 South Laalo Place in Lahaina.

Lahaina boy Ryan battled cancer and passed away on April 15, 2016. His family is holding the event to remember Ryan and thank the many people who helped his family.

They wrote, “We want to sincerely THANK our family, friends and community for all of your support for our son, Ryan Luis Navarro Recites. On April 15, 2016, we lost our precious and handsome Ryan to A.L.L. Leukemia. His sudden decline after what seemed like a successful chemotherapy treatment was heartbreaking, and we never imagined we’d lose our son. It was the worst day of our lives. We miss and love him so much. There’s never a day where we don’t think of him.

It’s been almost a year since we lost Ryan, and each day is still a constant struggle. He has impacted so many of us and will always be remembered. We would like to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts during this difficult time, especially for the prayers, love, support and donations. To the local vendors and community who took their time to be part of the TeamRyanLuis event, which was held on May 7, 2016 at the Lahaina Recreation Park, as well as those that participated in the car cruise held by Renditions and Shaun Saribay/Taste of Aloha, a Big THANK YOU to all of you. No words can express our sincere gratitude.”
