Society of Seven will perform on Friday, Oct. 21, in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center's Castle Theater at 7:30 p.m. Founding members Tony Ruivivar and Bert Sagum, and longtime SOS members Hoku Low (bass trumpet, vocals) and Wayne Wakai (soprano sax, guitar, keyboards and vocals), will appear alongside sensational lead singer Michael Laygo. SOS will once again present stunning guest star Lhey Bella, who earned several spontaneous standing ovations in her Maui debut last summer. Halloween Cannery Kids’ Night returns on Oct. 31

LAHAINA – Lahaina Cannery Mall will provide a safe, air-conditioned place for families to enjoy Halloween magic, trick-or-treating, face painting, balloon twisting and its famous keiki costume contest this Oct. 31 from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

Spellbinding family magic from local favorite Holden Mowat begins at 5 p.m. The keiki costume contest follows at 6 p.m. More than a dozen prizes will be given away in four age groups (0-2, 3-4, 5-8, and 9-15).

Come in costume. The event is free for the whole family.

Meeting to discuss Lahaina Ferry Pier Improvements

LAHAINA – Rep. Angus McKelvey, Sen. Rosalyn Baker, Department of Land and Natural Resources officials and the project consultants will provide the Lahaina community with an update on the Lahaina Ferry Pier Improvement Project along with the plans for the ferry pier, site and Harbor Office at a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Na ‘Aikane o Maui Cultural Center at 562-A Front St., Lahaina.

The public will be invited to view the latest plans for the new ferry pier, site and Harbor Office.

County Councilwoman Elle Cochran and representatives from DLNR’s Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation and Engineering Division will also attend the meeting.

Chapel to host Harvest Festival

KAPALUA – Harvest at Kumulani Chapel will host its annual Harvest Festival for keiki on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hale Hokulani (The Barn) in Kapalua on Office Road across from Sansei.

Keiki through fifth grade are encouraged to dress in friendly costumes and enjoy the fun, including game booths, prizes, candy, hot dogs, popcorn, jumping castles, ponies, virtual reality and a few surprises!

Na Hoaloha to hold benefit aboard NCL’s Pride of America

KAHULUI – Na Hoaloha will hold a benefit, “A Tribute to Our Kupuna,” hosted by Norwegian Cruise Lines, on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Na Hoaloha will provide shuttle service to the pier, where attendees will board the Pride of America for a three-course luncheon with champagne and wine, entertainment and a silent auction.
