Adelaide Kaiwi Sylva, 101

Adelaide Kaiwi Sylva, born on Oct. 28, 1914 at Olowalu, died peacefully on April 27, 2016 at Hale Makua.

She is survived by her children, Frank (Sharen) Sylva, Marybud Kobatake and June (Dallas) Kalepa; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Celebration of her blessed life of 101 years will be held on May 19, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lahaina, below the new highway. Richmond Hiram Kapaku, 65

Richmond Hiram Kapaku, 65, of Wailuku passed away on April 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born on Oct. 24, 1950 in Lahaina.

Services were held on Sunday, May 15, at Hawaiian Homes Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Ginger Kapaku; daughter, Kauhi L. Kapaku; and two grandsons, Kalalani H. Pagan-Kapaku and Ikela Kapaku.
