Theatre Theatre Maui adds additional show date to summer camp performances of ‘Shrek the Musical Jr.’

LAHAINA – Registration began March 14 for Theatre Theatre Maui’s 2016 West Side Youth Summer Theatre Camp and continues until the first day of camp at Lahaina Baptist Church.
Part of Theatre Theatre Maui’s mission is to provide a full spectrum of theatrical training and experience to its participants and members of the community.
Led by Program Director Kristi Scott, camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (with varied times the final week of camp) on weekdays from June 6 to July 17.
Along with singing, dancing and acting, summer campers also participate in the camp workshop, making props and set pieces for the summer show.
Summer camp will end with campers singing, dancing and acting in live performances of DreamWorks “Shrek the Musical Jr.” on July 14-17. The production is licensed by Musical Theatre Incorporated and sponsored in part by the county Office of Economic Development.
Registration is open to students entering the fourth grade in the 2016-17 school year and up to the age of 18.

Camp tuition is $399 early bird (cash/check only by May 16), $425 credit card (anytime) or cash/check after May 16, and $425 with installment payments ($225 at registration and $200 by June 6).
