Lahaina-Honolua Senior Citizens to hold bazaar

LAHAINA – The Lahaina-Honolua Senior Citizens Club will hold a bazaar on Saturday, April 30, starting at 8 a.m. at the West Maui Senior Center at 788 Pauoa St.

Food, household items, plants, clothes, books and art are among the items that will be on sale.

Lahaina Baptist Church to hold silent auction

The American Association of University Women and Great Decisions Women of Maui wore red for Equal Pay for Women at a recent luncheon at Lahaina Yacht Club. Women interested in joining can call Janet at (530) 409-0192 or e-mail bjpwalker@comcast.net.

LAHAINA – Lahaina Baptist Church will hold a silent auction on Sunday, April 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lahaina Cannery Mall to help Lahaina youth and children attend camp.

The silent auction will include luau and magic show tickets, dinners, activities, ice cream, boat trips and artwork. Call Nancy at (808) 298-6642 for information.

Nine-hole golf tourney to benefit 2016 charity walk

KAPALUA – Montage Kapalua Bay and Kapalua Golf will sponsor a nine-hole golf tournament to benefit the 2016 Visitor Industry Charity Walk on Saturday, May 7.

The fourth annual Classic Car Show on April 8 in Lahaina was sponsored by LahainaTown Action Committee, Cool Cat Café and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development. The winners were: Classic Car — 1934 Ford 3 Window Coupe by Ernie and Priscilla Amoral; Exotic — 2016 Lamborghini (top) by Paul DeCoite; Mustang — 1964 Ford Mustang by Harold and Mina Otani; and Best in Show — 1953 Ford F-100 by Joe and Andrea Thomsen (above).

This fun-filled day of golf will be held at the renowned Plantation Course, home to the PGA Tour Tournament of Champions, with a 3:30 p.m. shotgun start on the back nine of the course.

An awards ceremony and reception will be held at Plantation House Restaurant at 6 p.m. with silent auction, prizes, pupus and cocktails. Non-golfers are welcome to attend for a fee of $40 per person.

The price is $150 per golfer. Hole sponsorships featuring a company logo are also available for $250 for a shared hole sponsorship or $500 for an exclusive company hole sponsorship.

“The event will be a great way to experience a world-class golf course, network with friends and industry peers, have a great time, all while supporting our community. We promise a fun, memorable event, with great prizes for everyone involved,” said Richard Holtzman, vice president/ managing director of Montage Kapalua Bay and 2016 Visitor Industry Charity Walk chairman.
