Bailey Honda earns Eagle Scout ranking

LAHAINA – Bailey K. Honda recently earned the Boy Scouts of America’s Eagle Scout Award.
He was recognized in an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Saturday, March 26. A member of Troop 79, Bailey is one of approximately 4 percent of all Boy Scouts who attain the rank of Eagle.
Each Eagle Scout must earn 21 merit badges, show leadership and successfully complete a community service project to complete the Eagle Scout requirements. Bailey chose to organize and host a blood drive at Lahaina Civic Center. He thanked everyone who came out to donate much-needed blood for people in Hawaii.
Bailey is currently a sophomore at Lahainaluna High School with a 4.0 grade point average. He is active in football and track. Bailey is the son of Vance and Catherine Honda.
