Ruth Sara Vieau, 90

Ruth Sara Vieau, 90, of Lahaina, passed away on June 12, 2015 at Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku. She was born on Oct. 29, 1924, in Honolulu.

A private service was held on June 15.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Vieau; daughters, Susan Rodrigues, Isabel Brighter, Evelyn Opiopio, Linda Davidson, Sara AhNee, and Debra Comilang; 20 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.

William Laborte Sr., 82

William Laborte Sr., 82, of Lahaina, passed away on June 2, 2015 at Kula Hospital. He was born on Nov. 7, 1932 in Puunene, Maui.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, at Waiola Church in Lahaina. The service and eulogy will begin at 11 a.m.; scattering of ashes will be held at a later date.

Laborte was a retired golf course groundskeeper at the Kaanapali Resort Golf Course.

He is survived by his children, Rose (David) Rabanal, William (Connie) Laborte Jr., Clarence “Halona” (Karen) Laborte, Windley (Wendy) Laborte, and Lisa Laborte; sisters, Elsie (Eddie) Hook and Elizabeth (Herman) Edlao; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
