Last week Monday, a helicopter lifted in sections of pier for the Lahaina Small Boat Harbor Marginal Pier Replacement Project. The pier was badly damaged during the March 2011 Pacific tsunami. The $2 million project includes demolition and replacement of the existing marginal pier (approximately 880 lineal feet), including construction of pile caps, floating finger pier, access gangways, water and electrical improvements and related site work.
