Sacred Hearts School announces scholarships for first-time students

By Staff | Jun 28, 2012

LAHAINA – Sacred Hearts School announced that Maria Lanakila Parish Scholarships are available to new students enrolling for the coming school year.

Enrollment is now open, and parents registering children in SHS for the first time may apply for these special grants. The application form is available at www.sacredheartsschool.net and through the school office (call 661-4720 or e-mail secretary@sacredheartsschool.net).

Sacred Hearts School’s lower tuition fees and scholarship programs will allow more West Maui families to provide their children with a high-quality education.

A private preschool, elementary and middle school, SHS’ mission is “to provide excellence in education and to nurture a life of prayer, faith and service in the Catholic tradition.”

SHS students consistently perform above national averages on standardized tests.

The school’s community of specialty teachers, administrators, parents, pastors and volunteers augment academics with enrichment and moral training that support a whole child – spiritually, culturally and emotionally.

Sacred Hearts School is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Enrollment for the 2012-13 school year began June 1 and continues all summer.

For more information on Maria Lanakila Parish Scholarships, financial assistance and enrollment, contact the school secretary at 661-4720. Summer office hours are 8 a.m. to noon Mondays through Thursdays and by appointment.
