Junior Prom set for Saturday

LAHAINA – Jake Ryan and Leslie Viloria Garo will reign over the Lahainaluna High School Junior Prom as king and queen on Saturday, March 24, at the Sheraton Maui Resort.
Coronation of the prom court will be open to the public with standing room only. Reserved seating will be provided for ticket holders only.
Doors open for the coronation at 5:45 p.m., with the ceremony commencing at 6:15 p.m.
Jake is the son of Kay Ryan of Lahaina and Jessie Ibanez of Kihei, and Leslie is the daughter of Beverlie Viloria Garo of Lahaina.
Rounding out the prom court are Princesses Tori Ayudan, Irish Barlaan, Mehana Chang, Kanoelani Delatori, Junna Gazmen, Amanda Matsuda, Jina Miyamoto and Jenina Misay Pascua; and Princes Mark Alamon, Tyler Bartolome, Francisco Jimenez-Salgado, John Paul Jose, Tytus Lucas, Giovani Perez, Blake Ramelb and Jun Wone.
The court will dance to the prom theme “This I Promise You” by ‘N Sync, while the king and queen will dance to “Beautiful” from Disney’s “Cinderella.”
Marella Galace and Junna Gazmen are the prom co-chairs. Jenevieve Sarian is junior class president, and Kulani Akahi is class advisor.
Student Activities Coordinator Art Fillazar is director of the coronation ceremony and prom court choreographer.
