Classic Car Show to support Lahainaluna High School programs
LAHAINA – Lahaina Gateway’s fourth annual Classic Car Show fundraiser this year will benefit Lahainaluna High School’s basketball teams and the Lahainaluna High School Foundation.
The March 17 event from 4 to 9 p.m. will feature over 65 classic cars and trucks, fun basketball and skill games, rock and a wee bit of Irish music, plus special St. Patrick’s Day sales throughout the center.
Keiki, couples, families or individual adults can enter the St. Patrick’s Day costume contest at 6 p.m. with their best “green” and/or “Irish” costume. The winners will be awarded merchant gift cards.
Raffle ticket prize drawings will include Local Motion skateboards and boogie boards, fashion, toys, merchant gift cards, gourmet food, beauty treatments, books, a Nook, “Maui Stuffed Animal Shelter” toys and more.
LHS team booth products, event posters and T-shirt sales at the event will also benefit this fundraiser. Bring the whole family for this fun event and enjoy casual dining at Lahaina Gateway restaurants.
Maui Street Rodders and Maui Classic Cruisers are the featured classic car clubs whose members’ entries
will be judged, with winners receiving framed plaque awards.
Classic car owners who wish to show their cars should notify Bill Robinson at Maui Street Rodders or Mort Krajec (661-3311 or mort@mauiadvertising.com) by March 13. Note that only the car clubs’ member cars will be judged. Car registration and entry is set for 3 to 3:30 p.m. on March 17. The entry fee is $5, which will be donated to the LHS basketball teams and LHSF.
