9th Life Hawaii holding cat spay/neuter clinics

By Staff | Jan 26, 2012

Last week, Napili Kai Beach Resort welcomed the winners of its 50th Anniversary Contest to Maui. To mark its 50th anniversary last year, the resort sponsored an online drawing to win a week-long trip for two to Maui. Jan and Phil Richards (pictured), retired teachers from Eatonville, Washington, won the grand prize, which included roundtrip air provided by Mango Tours, oceanfront accommodations at Napili Kai, an Enterprise car rental, roundtrip Expeditions ferry tickets to Lanai, a private oceanfront Na Hoku Dinner for two at the resort and tickets to George Kahumoku Jr.’s “Masters of Hawaiian Music Slack Key Show” at Napili Kai.

9th Life Hawaii will hold free or low cost cat spay/neuter clinics from Jan. 25 through Feb. 3.

These clinics are open to all cats – owned cats and strays. It’s important to sterilize male cats, too, to prevent fighting, spraying and wandering.

Volunteers will pick up and return cats to designated locations, including West Maui. Cats are brought to the group’s clinic and returned the same day.

9th Life Hawaii will not sterilize pregnant cats.

A donation of $35 is suggested but will be waived if it’s a hardship. Call 573-3365 and follow instructions or e-mail 9thlifehawaii@earthlink.net.
